Weltrade and SyntX: what their official documentation says
Weltrade is one of the brokers offering its own synthetic indices (SyntX) with accounts designed to trade them 24/7. This page does what almost no one does: gather what its own documentation states —including its regulatory status and its warnings about synthetics— with the verification date. No affiliate links and no ratings.
The entity identified in its documents
| Data point | What its documentation states |
|---|---|
| Counterparty | Weltrade Ltd, International Business Company incorporated in Saint Lucia on 27 February 2023 (registration 2023-00055). |
| Regulatory status | Its risk disclosure expressly states that, when operating as an IBC in Saint Lucia, the client does not receive the usual protections of regulated frameworks, including compensation schemes. |
| Negative balance protection | They state negative balance protection: total loss is limited to the funds deposited in the account. |
| No deposit insurance | They state that there is no deposit insurance or investor protection scheme covering the funds. |
| Copy trading | They specify that they do not provide copy trading services: these would be offered by a different entity within the same group, to which they may refer the client, under separate terms. |
| Restricted jurisdictions | Their website publishes a list of restricted countries and warns that it may change; it is the client's responsibility to check it. |
The published account types
| Account | Currency | Published initial deposit | Platforms |
|---|---|---|---|
| Micro | USD, EUR | From 1 USD | MT4 and MT5 |
| Pro | USD | From 10 USD | MT4 and MT5 |
| SyntX | USD | From 1 USD | MT5 |
All three appear with 'deposit without commission' on the verified page. The account SyntX is the one aimed specifically at 24/7 synthetic indices (also tradable at weekends). As always: amounts, currencies and availability may vary by country, so they are confirmed when you open the account.
What their risk warning says about synthetic instruments
It is the most valuable part of their documentation. WelTrade devotes a specific section to the risks of synthetic instruments, and these are the points it declares:
- The price is generated by algorithms, not real markets or economic events.
- There is no underlying market: the price cannot be checked against any external reference.
- Programmed volatility: algorithmic patterns can trigger stops and generate extreme movements; historical data is not a reliable guide.
- Fundamental analysis not applicable and the effectiveness of technical analysis is limited by the very design of the price.
- Liquidity only within their platform: positions cannot be transferred or hedged outside, and liquidity parameters may change without notice.
- High risk of loss: they acknowledge that the probability of sustained profitability may be substantially lower than with traditional instruments.
- No regulatory review of the design of the instruments or their algorithms.
Does that sound familiar? It is exactly what we explain in how synthetic indices work internally and in which part is random and what can be verified. That the broker states it in writing is useful: it removes the argument over whether the product ‘moves on news’.
Promotions: read them before accepting them
Its website promotes loyalty programmes with its own currency, first-deposit bonuses and top-up bonuses, as well as a synthetic indices contest with prizes and a demo account. Bonuses are contracts: they usually include volume requirements, deadlines and restrictions on withdrawals. Before accepting one, check that its terms do not oblige you to trade more than your plan allows (see what to check before depositing).
Reviews: what to look at and where
- Date of each review: a review from three years ago describes different terms.
- If the portal earns affiliate commission: it changes the incentive for ranking the lists.
- What people complain about: the useful patterns are withdrawals, identity verification, execution and support; not ‘I won or lost money’, which depends on the trader and not on the broker.
- And above all: verifiable data is in the broker’s documents and in the regulator’s register, not in reviews.
