Trading course reviews: what they include and how to make the most of them

By Luis Sanches y Milton Bertillo, mentors at SHEFA Trading Academy · Updated on 23 September 2026 · Reading time: 5 min

When you search for trading course reviews on the internet, you come across two extremes: those who promise you will become a millionaire in a week and those who claim it is all a scam. The reality is far more sober. Trading is a financial speculation profession that requires study, discipline and, above all, strict risk management.

If you are considering investing in your education, you need to know exactly what you will receive in exchange for your money. At our academy, we do not sell hot air or shortcuts. We offer a structured path to learn how to analyse the Forex, gold and synthetic indices.

What exactly does it include

To assess whether the trading course price matches what you are looking for, you should look at the content and support. Our training does not consist of videos recorded five years ago that you can find for free on YouTube. It is an active learning ecosystem.

This is what you will find:

How the process works, step by step

Learning is not linear, but it should be structured. You cannot start trading live on day one. This is the path our students follow to move from theory to practice safely:

PhaseMain FocusEstimated CommitmentPhase Objective
1. FundamentalsTheory, market structure and price action.1 - 2 hours dailyUnderstand market context and read clean charts.
2. SimulationPractise on demonstration accounts (demo).1 hour dailyValidate the strategy without putting real capital at risk.
3. Mentoring and AdjustmentReviewing statistics and correcting mistakes.Weekly (live sessions)Refine discipline and consistency in decision-making.
4. Live TradingManaging micro accounts or funded accounts.Variable (depending on plan)Manage emotions with controlled real risk.

This process is designed so that each step lays the foundations for the next, minimising unnecessary risk exposure while you develop your skill.

Who it is not intended for

We want to be very clear to avoid disappointment. This course is not for everyone. If you identify with any of the following points, you should not enrol:

What you will not find here

The financial education sector is full of bad practices. So that you can make an informed decision, here are the things you will under no circumstances see in our academy:

Frequently asked questions

Do I need previous experience?

No. The syllabus is designed to take you from the most basic concepts (what a pip is, how a lot works, what the spread is) to advanced institutional liquidity strategies. The only things you need are a computer, an internet connection and the willingness to study consistently.

How much time does it require per day?

We recommend dedicating between 1 and 2 hours a day. It is not about spending 8 hours passively staring at the screen, but about studying effectively: watching a theory lesson, practising chart analysis (backtesting) and logging your trades. One hour of daily consistency is better than a 10-hour binge at the weekend.

Does it include tools?

The course includes risk management templates, trading journals in spreadsheets and access to our student community. As for automated or analytical tools, we teach you to evaluate standard technical indicators and charting platforms so that you know whether an external tool is useful or just clutters your chart. However, remember that this training does not teach you to build, program or configure automated trading software; we focus on helping you understand the market and trade using your own judgement.
